Temple Founded

Ealing Shri Kanaga Thurkkai Amman Temple Trust was founded on 10 August 1991 at Harrow Honey Bond Hall, marking the beginning of a spiritual home for devotees in the community.

1992

RELOCATE

Temple Relocated to Southall

As the congregation grew, the temple moved to Shakelton Hall, Southall on 25 October 1991, continuing its regular and religious services.

1993

COMMITTEE FORMED

Temple Relocated to Wembley

The temple relocated once again on 11 August 1992 to Wembley Union Hall, welcoming an increasing number of devotees from across London.

2010

ONLINE

First Executive Committee Formed

The temple established its first Executive Committee on 14 April 1993, creating a strong foundation for the temple’s administration and future development.

1995

PURCHASED

Permanent Temple Premises Purchased

A major milestone was reached on 9 June 1995 with the purchase of the temple’s permanent premises, which remains the temple’s home today.

1999

MAHA KUMBABISHEKAM

First Maha Kumbabishekam

The temple celebrated its first Maha Kumbabishekam (மகாகும்பாபிஷேகம் – குடமுழுக்கு விழா) on 6 June 1999, a sacred consecration ceremony that blessed the temple and its deities.

2001

FESTIVAL

First Mahotsavam Festival

The first Mahotsavam was held from 20 July 2001 over 25 days, bringing devotees together in celebration, prayer, and cultural tradition.

2011

Second Maha Kumbabishekam

The second Maha Kumbabishekam (மகாகும்பாபிஷேகம் – குடமுழுக்கு விழா) took place on 6 June 2011, renewing the temple’s spiritual energy and continuing its sacred traditions for future generations.
